Finukan God Series | Prayer, the Sun and Moon

I had been thinking negatively about faith and rituals of my homeland, Okinawa. But when an incense burner, through which prayer is traditionally considered to be heard by God, came to my house, a change began. Through the act of praying, I started to reflect on the meaning of living in Okinawa. And I started to express what exists between the visible and the invisible.

Finukan God Series, which I started three years ago, expresses what separates this world from that world, what connects the two worlds, and something that belongs to nowhere, while choosing different materials and ways of installation.
